Adele and Bernard, September 20, 2008

When Adele got engaged, we immediately started planning her dream wedding, and I mean immediately.  She was engaged while camping at the Pinery, Bernard took her down to the beach to ask, and when they returned to the campsite, we got in the car and went to buy some wedding magazines, and then sat in the tent the rest of the night talking about her special day!

The Heintzman House was the perfect location, for her elegant affair, A New Life Together.  The garden housed the outdoor Ceremony.  Hors d’oeurves were served following the ceremony, while guests enjoyed the vocals of local singer/songwriters Trevor Campbell and Anna Sudac.  Then dinner was served in the ball room.  Favours, on the table, were quote books (made of quotes about love by the guests) and a stained glass leaf bookmark, as well as small pots with ivy.  The centre peices were tall vases with willow shoots, representing a tree.

Later in the evening the studios where Adele teaches each performed a specially choreographed dance for the new Bride and Groom.

I was so happy to be a part of this wedding! They are so in love and so much fun! Since in was the 29, they participated in Earth Hour, and had the lights out from 8 until 9! It was so romantic, to only have candlelight. Dena also suprised Michael by singing their favourite song! Dena did so much work on all the decor, making most of it herself! This vintage inspired wedding was complete with a vintage photo station, where guests could dress up and have their pictures taken!

Helen from the The Brides Project sent me the lovely couple from Arizona! She was the officiant for Charles and Joseph’s lovely ceremony which took place at Toula, over-looking the lake! They then enjoyed a wonderful dinner with the centrepiece crafted perfectly for a table of two by Bernard at Bernard Thibault Floral Artistry. Later that evening they enjoyed a reception at Byzantium. They wanted to include any patrons of the lounge and gave out handcuffs and police badges (Charles is a Helicopter Paramedic and Joseph is a Police Officer) we also decorated the bar with mini helicoptors and police cruisers! A beautiful cupcake tower by Lana was just the touch the special day needed! Photos were by Rosetta Li Photography. Here are some of the photo’s both hers and mine (you can tell the

The couples were treated to a wedding on the CN Tower! Cherish Event Management was one of the principle sponsors of the special nuptials! Thank you to all the other vendors involved! Flowers were created by Bella at Floral Fetish Design, cakes were done by Natalie at Cakes I Bake, Videography (which will follow) was by Prashanna at P-your VISION Productions, music was provided by Emily Sun, Rings were provided by Aix-en-tric Jewellery, tuxes were from Tip Top Tailors, and the dress was from The Brides Project. They were married by Rev. Dr. Brent Hawkes from the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto, each ceremony was touching and individual. He asked me to be involved by making and selling corsages! Thank you to Bernard Thibault for providing the flowers! Cherish will be holding BLOOM at Cooper’s Office Furniture Showroom. Along with being a highly unique venue and a great space, Coopers will graciously be handing out Giving & Giving Back Brochures. With these brochures, anyone that attends Bloom and purchases furniture, or makes a referral to Cooper’s, Friends for Life will receive 3.5% of the sale. This means a $300,000 purchase will result in a $15,000 cheque for Friends For Life Bike Rally.
